Gordon Bonney
Known by most of the marine industry as ‘Flash’, Gordon has been rigging for over 30 years, combined with his extensive sailing experience he has a wealth of knowledge to solve most rigging problems.
Gordon grew up sailing dinghies, moving up to keelboat racing, his sailing achievements include winning Cowes Week at least 8 times in various classes including Sigma 33′s, Prima 38′s, Beneteau 25′s, Melges 24, Beneteau 40.7′s, J109′s and SB3′s. Gordon has also won several one design National Championships, a Cork Week, been part of a Commodores Cup campaign and completed a transatlantic race.
All this sailing and rigging experience enables Gordon to provide his customers with solutions based on practical experience and knowledge.
Adam Humphrey
An offshore yachtmaster with several years experience corporate skippering, Adam began his rigging career in the Caribbean. In June 2010 Adam joined the team at Performance Rigging and is continually adding to his rigging knowledge.
Adam can be found windsurfing or yacht racing most weekends, a very capable sailor he is able to fit into any role on board.
Chris Evans
Chris started his career as a professional sailor racking up some impressive race wins including Round the Island, Cowes Week, Cork Week & a Commodores Cup Win. Chris joins Performance Rigging from Marlow Ropes and is keen to provide customers with detailed impartial advice on the wide range of ropes stocked at Performance Rigging.
Oliver Wyatt
Oliver is a keen racer, an RYA Keel boat squad member, he can be found out racing most weekends. An Offshore Yachtmaster and experienced Corporate Skipper Oliver is just starting to specialize in rigging and is fast becoming a great asset to the rigging team.
Simon Fairman
A regular subcontractor to Performance Rigging, Simon has been rigging for 28 years. Over this time he has worked on everything from small keel boats to a 275ft super yacht. His wealth of experience makes him an invaluable member of the team in the busy months.
As with all the in house riggers, Simon also has an impressive sailing CV, competing in an Admirals Cup, Commodores Cup, Sidney to Hobart and a J24 worlds.
The Administration Team
The rigging team are supported by Ann & Fiona in the office, both ladies are sailors themselves, and work hard behind the scenes keeping the finances in check and managing the office.
